Driving Directions

From the south/M27 

Leave the M27 at Junction 3 and join the M271 northbound, signposted Romsey and Broadlands. At the roundabout at end of the M271, take the second exit, joining the A3057 towards Romsey. After 1 . miles, at the roundabout, take the first exit, joining the A27. You will pass Romsey Rapids on your left. At the big roundabout, take the second exit joining the A3090 Southampton Road; the Plaza Theatre will be directly ahead of you. At the Plaza roundabout, turn left into Winchester Road. You will pass a petrol station and the Bishops Blaze public house on your right. At the traffic lights, turn right into Alma Road (A3057). Take the first left for the public car parks or first right for Mountbatten Avenue. Follow Mountbatten Avenue to the fourth telegraph pole on your right and turn right into Baden Powell Way; the Dr Peter Centre is behind the green railings on your left.

From the north east/Winchester 

Travelling from Winchester via the A3090, through Hursley and Ampfield, the directions are as follows: You will enter Romsey along the Straight Mile and Crampmoor. After about 8 miles, the road passes Romsey Hospital on your right then descends under a low bridge. Continue ahead under the next rail bridge. At the Plaza roundabout, still on the A3090, take the second exit; you will pass a petrol station and the Bishops Blaze public house on your right. At the traffic lights, turn right into Alma Road (A3057). Take the first left for the public car parks or first right for Mountbatten Avenue. Follow Mountbatten Avenue to the fourth telegraph pole on your right and turn right into Baden Powell Way; the Dr Peter Centre is behind the green railings on your left.

From the north west/Stockbridge & Andover 

You will enter Romsey on the A30, through Timsbury, passing the Dukes Head public house then Romsey Water gardens. As you go under the railway bridge, at the roundabout, take the first exit into A3057 Malmesbury Road. At the traffic lights, go straight over into Alma Road. Take the first left for Mountbatten Avenue or second right for public car parks. Follow Mountbatten Avenue to the fourth telegraph pole on your right and turn right into Baden Powell Way; the Dr Peter Centre is behind the green railings on your left.

From the south west/ Ower & Salisbury 

You will enter Romsey downhill on the A30990 Romsey bypass. At the second roundabout, take the first exit joining the A3090 Southampton Road; the Plaza Theatre will be directly ahead of you. At the Plaza roundabout, turn left into Winchester Road. You will pass a petrol station and the Bishops Blaze public house on your right. At the traffic lights, turn right into Alma Road (A3057). Take the first left for the public car parks or first right for Mountbatten Avenue. Follow Mountbatten Avenue to the fourth telegraph pole on your right and turn right into Baden Powell Way; the Dr Peter Centre is behind the green railings on your left.

Parking

There are eight parking spaces on site, as well as a Disabled Parking bay. For larger events, we would encourage visitors to park in the public long stay car park on the other side of Alma Road and walk the 300 yards across to us, via the footpath indicated by the dotted line on the above map. Getting here by public transport

Rail 

The Dr Peter Centre is about a five minute walk from Romsey Station (indicated on the map). Romsey is on the main Southampton to Bristol rail line and is served by the Totton/Chandlers’ Ford shuttle route.

Bus 

There are no bus stops along Alma Road itself but many buses stop at Romsey Station or along Winchester Road: try Bluestar numbers 4 and 5, Stagecoach service 32/33/66 or Wilts & Dorset number 35.
